time to come home series
The Time to Come Home for Christmas Series is based on the song Time For Me to Come Home for Christmas by Blake Shelton and Co-wrote by his mother writer Dorothy Shackleford. It was released in 2012. The series is also produced by Shelton and the song plays in some part of each movie. The movies are easily watched in any order though some actors have cameo roles in later movies. Blake shared with People: “And so, finally, when I was making my Christmas album, I said, 'Mom, lets me and you write a song together, and you can sing it with me on my album,’ he shared. ‘And there's your Lucille Ball moment. You can finally have your moment to be famous.' " Dorothy then wrote with Travis Thrasher the book Time for Me to Come Home based on the song she had co-wrote with Blake. The book was then turned into the first movie which later became the franchise.
